In September 2016, the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education (BMB) established a Special Research Area ‚Interreligiosity’ at the Private University College for Teacher Education Vienna/Krems (KPH). The Research Area is supposed to provide an empirical, context-sensitive basis for enhancing interreligious competence in teacher education.

Within the context of the research cooperation RELIGION_PLURALITÄT, SIR joins forces with the research professorship interreligiosity (HS-Prof. Dr. Bettina Brandstetter) at the Institute for Research and Development of the Private University of Education, Diocese of Linz.

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the initial kick-off meeting of the research cooperation 'Religion_Pluralität' unfortunatelly had to be cancelled. The two research professorships 'interreligiosity' at the PHDL and The KPH Vienne / Krems are now inviting you to participate in a newly scheduled meeting on February 23rd 2021. This meeting will take place either offline at the Private University of Education Linz or online (if necessary). If you are interested in presenting short vignettes or more detailed research articles on religious plurality in Austria, please contact HS-Prof. Dr. Anne Koch or HS-Prof. Dr. Karsten Lehmann. The kick-off meeting will be accompanied by a thematic volume in the peer-review journal 'Pädagogische Horizonte'. Here you can find the most recent cfp. The website of the 'Pädagogische Horizonte' also is the place to have a look at a reference paper introducing the theme of the workshop.
