Arriving by plane at Vienna airport “Wien Schwechat”:

If you want to have a stress-free journey to Krems from Vienna airport, it is important to arrive at the airport by 6pm (!!) at the latest. There are more ways to get from the airport to Vienna but the following option is the easiest and one of the cheapest:

From the airport take the airport bus (Vienna Airport Lines) to “Wien Westbahnhof”. Change here and take the underground line “U6” (brown line) towards “Floridsorf”. Get off at “Spittelau” and take the train to “Krems an der Donau”. There are direct trains to Krems leaving every hour, but the last train is at 10pm. For further information use the following website: www.oebb.at.

If you arrive in Vienna by bus or train, you need to get to the underground/train station “Spittelau”. Then you can take the train to “Krems an der Donau” (please see the paragraph above).

From the train station “Krems an der Donau”:
Leave the train station and follow the Krems river downstream for about 10 minutes on foot
OR
take the city bus number 2 from the station and get off at ”Pädagogische Hochschule”
OR
take a taxi (in front of the train station).

By Car
S5, Exit Krems-Zentrum, turn right into the Austraße, follow this road until Göttweigergasse (the first street on your right), continue on this road until you reach the KPH Krems

By Wieselbus
Take the Wieselbus to Krems from St Pölten, Hollabrunn, Gmünd,
Waidhofen / Thaya and from some other places that lie en route.

The Wieselbus stop is 15 minutes on foot from the campus. For more information: www.wieselbus.at
